Doughty Hanson Publishes 2008 Annual Review

Doughty Hanson & Co, one of the largest independent private equity firms in Europe, announces the publication of its 2008 Annual Review.

Although none of the investments in Doughty Hanson's funds meets the minimum size for disclosure set out by the Walker Guidelines, the firm is supportive of the move towards greater transparency in the private equity industry. Doughty Hanson's second Annual Review provides an update on the structure of the firm, the investment strategies of its three fund programmes, and an overview of its activities during 2008. The Annual Review also gives additional information about portfolio companies across Doughty Hanson's private equity, real estate and technology ventures divisions, including details of company turnover, staff counts and management.

In addition, for the first time, Doughty Hanson's Annual Review includes a statement of the firm's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policy, which formalises the company's commitment to ensuring that its own business operations, and those of its portfolio companies, are undertaken in a responsible and sustainable way.
